Kate Blakinger’s fiction has appeared in The Gettysburg Review, Harpur Palate, The Iowa Review, and other magazines. She earned her MFA at the University of Michigan, where she was awarded the Meijer Postgraduate Fellowship. She has also received fellowships from the Elizabeth George Foundation, Jentel, the MacDowell Colony, and the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts. In 2010, she was the Emerging Writer-in-Residence at Penn State Altoona. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and son.
